Socio-technical Requirements for Multi-Human Multi-Robots

The SOPRANO team from IFADO and Jade University that are leading the research and development tasks for addressing the socio-technical aspects of multi-human multi-robot (MH-MR) collaborations have completed the Early Prototype Framework Requirements that will drive the development of the project technologies and to verify their fulfilment. The report provides a baseline framework for human-centred design of effective and safe agent interaction and collaboration within the MH-MR system that also is configurable for various industrial use cases.
The analyses goes beyond the identification of single robot/task properties and includes the anticipated single-level (i.e. workplace) and multi-level interfaces between involved entities during dynamic collaborative tasks in different use case scenarios, including control and information/feedback loops and prerequisites for adaptive joint performance.
